Up and Down

Kevin began his day with some bouncing.

We had to do some grocery shopping today at Walmart.  We also needed to buy sun screen and children's toothpaste as Grandma did not seem to have brought any.  And Grandma wanted to buy  a digital watch for Kevin!  He needs to learn to tell time!  It would give him so much more independence.  So, after groceries, we had a clock lesson. We also talked about the difference in time between where Mommy and Daddy will be and Texas!

We arrived home just in time for our house tours today.  I loved this house, but there is not enough room for my office.

I am beginning to feel a bit panicked.  The perfect home is not falling into my lap!  There is something wrong with every house.  So far, only the new construction has my name written on it.

After dinner, Kevin wanted to go swimming, but it was getting very late by then.  Greg loves to take his passengers places he thinks they will enjoy without saying where we are going.  He was driving us through the countryside while Kevin was getting upset we were not going home.  Uncle Greg assumed all boys love airplanes, but this boy does not love them more than swimming.  Uncle Greg took us to a "subdivision" where hangers are attached to large homes and there is a taxiway behind the homes and a runway.  We drove on the taxiway and could see a plane ahead of us.  Kevin was nervous about it, but it was parked.  Tears eventually ensued.  There was no joy in seeing airplanes.  Whereas, if Kien and Gabe had been crying, seeing the planes would have cheered them up!  Not this boy.  The tears had not subsided by the time we were home and Skyped with Mom and Dad.  Seeing Mom and Dad, and knowing they were leaving the country tomorrow, made it worse.  When we got off the phone, he said, "I think I am homesick."  We prayed at bedtime for God to help him not be homesick and to watch over Mommy and Daddy on their trip.
