Camp Ends

Grandma had to deliver Kevin's morning meds to him at camp.  It was a relief to see him and know he was happy and had a fun camp out! He did want me to stay a while, but I had an appointment I had to hurry to meet.

I arrived at 4 and hardly any parents were there.  Apparently, the stoplights are out in the area and parents are calling in saying they will be late.

I had Guinness in the car to take him to his pet hotel for the next week.  The traffic on the highway was VERY slow.  It was a long trip there and back.  Kevin kept asking me for estimates on our time of arrival.

When we got in the car, he asked for the Morning Worship CD!  He said he wanted to hear the opera singer some more.  Since it was a long trip, we were able to listen to almost all of the music on the CD.  We still have the final organ Postlude to hear.

He  was very hungry by the time we reached home and was eager for dinner.  He said he did not have a snack this afternoon as        he didn't like it?

He told me he said to the boys in his tent, "Don't laugh.  I brought my blanket," and showed them his gankie!  Amazing that he was comfortable enough to tell his friends he still likes his special blanket.  I am proud of him for being frank and open.

We have not done much reading.  We have just been TOO busy!  The books that took us forever to pick out at the library had to be returned yesterday with only two of them read.  Since he wasn't with me to pick out more books, I did not check any out for him.  As we were packing tonight, I ran up in the attic to see if I could find some easy readers we could take on our trip.  I brought down several and he immediately delved into them, reading "Crictor" all the way through to himself!  Grandma was happy to see him devour a book on his own!
