House Shopping

We began our search for Grandma's new home at 10 am with our realtor Lynne.  Uncle Greg joined us and provided valuable input at every home.  We toured ten homes.  Three more we did not bother to enter.  Kevin thought it would be boring to look at houses.  I assured him he wouldn't find it as bad as he expected.  He met some adorable pets and saw some unusual decorating.

He liked this strange stuffed head
And this bathroom ceiling right out of "Where the Wild Things Are"!!!!
In the same house  which was full of color!

Kevin mentioned later that he liked this house because of the colors.  Though it had many problems -- damaged wood floor, was uncared for, few kitchen cabinets, plus the weird colors and decorating everywhere!

With the land being so flat in this part of Texas and fences being around houses, sometimes the view of a subdivision from the road where we are traveling is only the roofs of the houses.  Kevin says the roofs look like dirt piles!

This is Grandma's favorite house of the day:

New construction -- built for a couple who lost their jobs and could not close.   Many upgrades.  Apparently, most lookers do not like this fireplace (though I do) and do not like the white ceramic tile from front door to back.  I have lived with that before.
