Bird, Books, Band

Kevin awakened me at 7:11am.  He let met sleep in a few minutes beyond when Guinness awakens me daily.  After we were ready for the day and Mom and Dad were still sleeping, we went for a walk to Market St. about a mile away to have pastries and drinks for breakfast.

On the way, Kevin expressed that he is very eager to be at my house with me!!!  Sweet!  We DO have so much fun together!!!

We chose a route past this pond.  Kevin wanted to walk on the opposite side from me.  I noted a Great Blue Heron at the opposite end of the pond and pointed it out to Kevin, telling him to go slowly and keep his eye on the heron to witness how beautiful it is in flight.

The heron ignored me, but turned to watch Kevin with an eagle (or should I say "heron"!) eye.  After taking this photo, Kevin moved a few steps closer to the bird before it flew away.
What an awesome sight on a Saturday morning!

Kevin's eyes are always bigger than his stomach at the pastry counter.  He chose a cream cheese cherry danish, two coconut macroons, and a peach smoothie.  He also ate a couple of BIG bites of grandma's chocolate croissant.
Then he wanted to carry home a bouquet for Mommy!
Good thing, because Mommy was not too pleased with Kevin's running up and down the stairs yelling before we left!  Shame on grandma for being oblivious to it.

Kevin's bookshelf needs some weeding, so we started looking at each book to decide if it was one Kien and Gabe would enjoy, one to give away, or one to keep.  Of course, we stopped to read several of the stories first before making a decision.  This project could take a LONG time, but was fun!

Greg called this afternoon, because Kien saw my picture on Facebook and wanted to talk.
Gabe said "hi" to grandma too!  Precious!  I put Kevin on the phone too.

This afternoon the four of us went to see "Madagascar 3."  I can't say grandma was impressed.  Too much business, silliness, craziness.  But the popcorn was good!  Steve said adults aren't supposed to "get" it.  It is normal for adults to not be interested.  ha!  Kevin thought it was great.

Tonight, we had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory on the patio.  While we sat and talked, Kevin went to the waterfountain next door where a band was playing.
