Happy Saturday!

The Crawford side of the family put on a baby shower for Brandy today at her grandparents' home in OK.  Cathi ordered a cake from the bakery where we bought Cathi and Greg's Bride and Groom Cakes.  Brandy requested a pregnant belly cake.  ugh!  Grandma W is just too stodgy for this!  LOL   Thank goodness I have discovered I am gluten intolerant and didn't have to eat any of it!  Greg thought it should have been a red velvet cake inside.  Someone else suggested it could have a gooey raspberry filling.  And another male present suggested the boobs be filled with whipped cream.  Oh, my. . .  this is all too much for me to handle!!!

The cake rode to OK on the back seat of the van between Jeremy and me. To be a bit of a rabble rouser, I took a picture of it and posted in on Facebook.
Cathi was NOT happy as she knew Brandy would see the picture before she saw the cake.  That had never occurred to me.  Soooo. . . Cathi insisted that I delete it.  I thought I did, but it never did go away.  And, she was right.  Brandy saw the cake before coming to the shower!!!  Bad Grandma!

Brandy opened her gifts with Cathi's fancy diaper cake as a centerpiece!  (Cathi will make these to order and ship, if you are interested!!!)
Here is how the boys spent the shower.
Notice that Jeremy is not present.  He was off with his cousin climbing and falling out of trees.   :\    He was on a branch about 18 feet up when it broke away from the trunk, tumbling to the ground.  Jeremy is a very lucky, sore boy.

We saw horses, cattle, oil wells everywhere on our trip.  When we were within blocks of home, Greg stopped at the side of the road and opened the van door for the boys to get a closeup look at this field with many cattle.  This one was interested in us!  What a face!  Adorable!  I had to take a shot.
Then Jeremy saw a young heifer and wondered if he could pet it.  He did! And the calf licked his hand!!!!   :)
When we reached home, the little boys wanted to play outside, so I watched them while Greg did some yardwork.  They rode their riding toys, then got out bikes.  Gabe rode a tricycle seemingly for the first time, but Cathi says he has been on it before.  He was really trying hard to make the pedals work.  Kien found a plastic bat and ball, so we played with that.  He was amazingly good, and his throw was quite surprising!  Greg pulled out an unopened T-Ball box.  So now we had 2 bats and 2 balls plus the T-ball stand.  That was very good for helping to teach Kein to hit the ball!  And he proved to be somewhat of a slugger!  Gabe did well too!  They both could grow up with some baseball talent!
