Father's Day

This morning, Kinga prepared a special, favorite breakfast for Steve -- crepes -- with Nutella and bananas.  Yum!

Kinga did some dancing with Pebbles.

 And Kevin joined the frolicking.
We were too late to take in church, but I needed to get to the cemetery today to make sure Karin's flowers were still OK.  Her flowers were fine, but it is so disappointing the cemetery has not done what they said they would three years ago -- reset her marker so that it doesn't get covered with mud.  Of course, deleting the mud would be a good idea!  I have witnessed that the sprinkler system does not reach her section of the cemetery.  Pictures today show that problem clearly:  the grass everywhere is beautiful except in her area.
We found a tool in Steve's trunk which Kevin used to scrape away all the mud.

Then we went shopping for a Father's Day present!  We found a pair of silky shorts and matching sleeveless shirt for him to wear exercising.

Next, we stopped at Goodberry's!!!!  He had a Reese's Parfait and I had a PB and chocolate sundae!  More Yums!

I had never seen Duke Gardens, so that was our next excursion.  Free and fabulous!!!!!  So gorgeous, yet directly adjacent to the campus!  We passed the Duke treatment center where we took Karin to see her oncologist and have treatments.  We had hope then.  But God is good!  Everyone is moving on in directions we never expected would have happened in a million years.  Some seem horribly bad; still, but I can see God's hand improving the situation day by day.

The Gardens had paths and rock stairs everywhere with gorgeous beauty at every turn.

An amazing large, white fish!

The shot he took!
A family shared their bread for the birds with Kevin.  Kevin said one of the ducks nipped his fingers grabbing the bread!
All the while they were feeding the ducks, there was a black-necked white swan preening itself.  He finally was satisfied with his beauty and came to receive treats as well.

Happy Father's Day, Steve!!!!
