We arrived at Boys and Girls Club a bit late. I asked about the party Melanie had overheard some counselors talking about yesterday. They ARE having a party and a slip SHOULD have come home a couple of days ago. The kids are to wear red, white, and blue, and bring a snack to share.
I picked up Kevin from Club, then we met Melanie at the lunch cafe on the porch of one of the galleries. The Flecks showed up a few people behind us in line, so we invited them to join us at our table. They are special people! Kevin was the photographer for this shot.
Bob is an excellent photographer and took this of Kevin:
Kevin's Boys Group 3 having their party.
We wandered the Craft Fair for a while and saw many lovely or interesting things. One man makes robot-looking sculptures out of recycled items. Kevin asked me what use it had. The artist said, "It makes your smile!"
Tonight was the Diana Krall concert. Since I am not a jazz fan, I was underwhelmed. Kevin did not seem to enjoy it much either, so we left, leaving Melanie to enjoy to her heart's content. It was beginning to get dusk, so we sat on a park bench in a park where you can always see bats flying among the trees at dusk. We both tried to take some photos, but they are awfully fast! By the time time your brain recognizes your are seeing a bat, it is gone. Nevertheless, the dark spot to the left of center IS a bat!!!
